About Susan

I’m business owner of Susan Truseler (it’s pronounced ‘true-cellar’ in case you’re wondering) Studio

Hello, I’m Susan

A brand photographer (with too many to count) years of experience specialising in creative photography - bold, vivid and vibrant are three of my favourite words.

Creative photography is my thing…

I first fell in love with photography sometime in the early Noughties when I really got into the alchemy of film processing and darkroom printing. Teaching C-type (colour) darkroom printing at Kingston University, London, UK for many years. At the same time, I started to make fine-art photographs. Setting up small-scale sets in the studio and around the countryside of my childhood - creating imaginary worlds.

A selection of my fine art photographs is held with contemporary photography library Milim Images. My photographs have been published by British Council, The Times, Times2, HarpersCollins, Penguin Books, The Association of Photographers and London Independent Photography.

Brand & product photography specialist

In 2016, I up-skilled in digital marketing an that work confirmed what I already knew in my heart – bright pops of colour are key to standing out against the sea of neutrals online. From here, I’ve worked with agencies, charities, and clients in sectors including print and design. I bring all of this experience to my product and brand photography: Bright colour, fine-art composition, digital savvy and a storyteller’s heart.

Here’s what my lovely clients say about me…

Susan is based in Nottinghamshire, England, UK

Based in a small village in rural Nottinghamshire, I‘ve worked with business owners on location in London, Surrey, West Sussex, East Sussex, Hampshire, and Leicestershire.

My favourite things in life…

Apart from photography (obviously) are spending time with my two-smallish children, doing-up my 1960s bungalow, curling up on the sofa with a good book, and drinking (probably too much) good coffee. Oh, and great conversation with lovely creative business owners.

Let’s start ours.
