Here’s my four-step guide for product business owners explaining how my remote studio photography service Send & Shoot works. You’ll find out what’s included in each level of Send & Shoot and what to expect after you’ve booked your product shoot with me.

  1. Before you book your remote product photography shoot

First thing we do is book a call over Zoom™ so we can virtually meet each other before I get to work creating all your lovely product images. Some clients want to have a call before booking a shoot with me and I’m happy to do this too. So that I can get a better idea of the kind of product photographs you need, I’ll ask you a few questions about your business. Questions like:

  • What makes your products stand out from your competitors?

  • How long have you been making your products and running your business?

  • Why have you chosen a particular colour for your products?

  • Who is your ideal customer?

Your answers will give me a good idea of your brand story. It’ll also help me to get thinking about ways in which I can creatively add something to your story. Don’t worry if any of these questions seem a bit scary, I can help with visual brand identity too!

Then I’ll ask you what your deadline is for your product photography and we’ll discuss dates for your shoot (to secure your photo shoot date, I’ll ask for a 50% deposit on booking your shoot). I’ll also check where you want to use your images, so I can make sure your final set of product shots and styled flat lays are cropped to specific sizes and ready to upload to your website, online shop and social media channels.

We’ll talk about how many products you want photographed and the number of different colour variations for each product. And if you haven’t done so already, I’ll get you to fill out my handy Product Shot List. Then I’ll tell you about the three different packages I offer for my Send & Shoot service and we’ll work out which is the best fit for you and your lovely products.

2. The three levels of my Send & Shoot remote product photography service

3. How my remote product photography service works

Once you’ve booked a shoot with me I’ll create a Trello™ board to help make communication as smooth as possible before your shoot. I’ll also create a secret Pinterest™ board so I can get your styling exactly how you want it.

Then you gather up your products and any props you’d like me to include in your styled flat lays. I have lots of props and backgrounds in my studio, but I’ll encourage you to look around your studio, home or workspace to see if you have any items that you’d like me to include. Then package everything up and send them to my home studio by registered post.

Once I’ve received your products and props I’ll book in your shoot date. Your edited, retouched and cropped product shots and styled flat lays are then sent over to you via Wetransfer™. And when you’re happy with your images, I’ll carefully package up your all your products and anything else you’ve sent to me and return to you by registered post.

4. Remote product photography made simple

Once you’ve received your returned products in the post I’ll invoice you the remaining balance for your shoot. So that I can keep giving all my lovely clients the best remote photography experience, I’ll ask for you to fill out a quick feedback questionnaire. And then all there’s left to do is for you to upload your product shots and flat lays onto your website or online shop and start sharing them on your social channels.

And if you’d like to book a call with me to find out which Send & Shoot package is right for your business, I’d love to hear from you.
