A Colourful Brand Photoshoot for Business & Marketing Coach Ruth Gilbey
Business and Marketing Coach Ruth Gilbey recently booked my Shoot Your Brand - personal branding photography service. After our initial Brand Clarity Call, (the first step in booking a shoot with me) Ruth decided she wanted to use her own home for her photoshoot location. As Ruth was interested in introducing bold, bright, colour into her branding photos (er, hello?! I LOVE colour!) I created a mini studio set-up in her living room. Using a selection of coloured backdrops, Ruth has a variety of colourful branding shots to use for her website, social channels, podcast, emails, and all her other content marketing.
Let’s have a chat with Ruth to find out a bit more about her business, her plans for 2022 and why she decided to book a personal brand shoot with me.
Hello Ruth, please tell us all a little bit more about you and your business?
I'm a business coach specialising in helping freelancers and business owners adjust their mindset and their marketing so they can get fully booked with clients they LOVE to work with.
I've been in the trenches doing the work. I have multiple revenue streams for my business now. From large consultancy contracts with charities and organisations (Media Smart, The Gestalt Centre, The Latte Lounge and Content Design London, to name a few). My own membership, courses, 1-2-1 coaching and revenue from blogging and affiliate marketing. I deliver practical business and marketing support. I also offer structure, accountability, personalised coaching and mindset support. My biggest passion is to help women understand their true potential and build a business that reflects who they are and the life they want to live.
What’s been the biggest success in your business journey so far?
Launching my group programme and membership, The Online Business Collective. It was the scariest, and hardest business decision I have ever made! But it's also been the most worthwhile as it's allowed me to support more women and make more impact.
What’s next for Ruth Gilbey Business and Marketing for 2022?
My motto in 2022 is to do less better. It's so easy to get caught up in the ‘should’ of business and get excited with wanting to do loads of things. I'm focusing on my membership, my programme and 1-2-1 clients in 2022. I'm also focussing on creating even more valuable content - so watch this space with the podcast and other things coming in 2022.
Why did you decide to book a personal branding shoot?
I'd totally overused my photos pre-lock down and my hair had grown so much the photos actually didn't look like me. Also, I feel a lot more confident in myself and my business. Which was interesting as I enjoyed the photo shoot more than I'd enjoyed any other shoot. I felt that I could relax and show my personality more.
Where and how will you use your new photos?
Everywhere! My marketing, website, podcast, course content and my book! I'm currently writing a book and will be self publishing it later this year or early 2023.
